Mr. Kaylon Young serves as the Port Commissioner. A seasoned professional with extensive experience in the maritime industry, Mr. Young assumes this pivotal role while advancing the initiatives and accomplishments of the Authority.
He brings an impressive background in the maritime sector, holding a Master’s degree in Maritime Affairs with a specialization in Maritime Law and Policy from the prestigious World Maritime University (WMU). With over a decade of experience at the Belize Port Authority, he demonstrates exceptional leadership and commitment, particularly in overseeing vessel inspections and Port State Control operations.
As Port Commissioner, Mr. Young builds on the strong foundation laid by his predecessors. He remains committed to enhancing the safety, security, and efficiency of Belize’s ports, ensuring they meet international standards and contribute meaningfully to the national economy.
With a focus on advanced technologies, port infrastructure development, and strengthened stakeholder relationships, Mr. Young’s leadership plays a key role in navigating future challenges and opportunities.
