The Belize Port Authority is proud to be part of an exciting capacity building initiative in partnership with the International Merchant Marine Registry of Belize (Immarbe Belize), the Italian Shipping Academy, and the International Maritime Safety, Security & Environment Academy (IMSSEA).
This marks a significant milestone as IMSSEA launches its first presence in Central America, joining forces with our Authority and IMMARBE to deliver two key maritime training programs:
📅 Flag State Implementation | June 24 – July 4, 2025
📅 Port State Control | July 21 – August 1, 2025
The initiative officially commenced with an opening session on June 25th at the Belize Port Authority Headquarters. Our Acg Ports Commissioner, Mr. Kaylon Young, inaugurated the program and expressed sincere appreciation to the Italian Shipping Academy and its International Department for their expertise, dedication, and continued support in strengthening Belize’s maritime capabilities.
