Our National Workshop on Oil Pollution Preparedness, Response, and Cooperation (OPRC) concluded on March 15th, 2024. The workshop, delivered by RAC/REMPEITC-Caribe in partnership with Belize Department of the Environment – DOE, Belize Port Authority, and Belize Coast Guard brought together 48 National Stakeholders responsible for executing the National Oil Spill Contingency Plan. Training, Resource Mobilization, and Cooperation are some key elements to respond to and combat oil spills effectively.
