Yesterday July 11, 2024, we signed a historic Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Belize Port Authority and the Caribbean Maritime University (CMU). This initiative will open up new educational and career opportunities for Belizeans in the maritime sector. By providing pathways for our young professionals to study at CMU and gain hands-on experience on Belizean-flagged vessels, we are investing in the future leaders of our maritime industry.
This partnership will also enhance our local universities’ capacity to develop maritime programs, fostering growth and creating new employment streams in Belize. the Belize Port Authority is proud to see this significant step forward for our nation!
