The Ports Commissioner, under the powers granted by the Belize Port Authority Act, hereby notifies Port Terminal Operators, Shipping Agents, and all mariners of the lifting of the Port Closure Orders set on 1st November 2022.
All Seaports are open as of Friday, 4th November 2022, at 0800 hours, except where expressly stated by the terminal operator. BPA advises all mariners to exercise caution when approaching the harbours, especially in the Belize City approaches, as floating debris may pose a navigation hazard.
All Water Taxis will resume normal operations as per their approved runs.
The Ports Commissioner thanks the maritime public for exercising safety during and after the passing of Hurricane Lisa.
