BPA Maritime Youth Summer Camp

The Belize Port Authority (BPA) in collaboration with the Ministry of Public Utilities, Energy, Logistics and E-Governance will be conducting a series of Maritime Youth Summer Camps for children between the ages of 7 to 15 years for the period August 2-19, 2022.

This unique Maritime Summer Camp is designed to provide the participants an opportunity to take a dive into the maritime sector garnering knowledge and skills to safely operate and survive in a maritime environment through a fun and hands on technique by certified and trained instructors.

At the end of the camp, Twenty-Five (25) youths will learn about water safety procedures, types of personal floating devices and how to use them, adopt the Help and Handle position, able to identify the different types of ropes, and how to tie knots and hitches, how to apply first aid on drowning victims.

The camps will be held in three locations on the following dates:

August 2-6, 2022:  Dangriga Town – Dangriga Town Hall from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm

August 8-12, 2022: San Ignacio Town – Victor Galvez Stadium from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm

August 15-19, 2022: Independence Village – Lord Michael Ashcroft Stadium from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm
