Mr. Kaylon Young, Technical Manager of the Belize Port Authority, currently represents Belize at the 4th International Conference on Small Island Developing States in Antigua & Barbuda. Under the overarching theme of “Charting the course toward resilient prosperity,” the conference aims to assess the capacity of SIDS to achieve sustainable development, including the 2030 Agenda and its Sustainable Development Goals. It is anticipated to culminate in an intergovernmental agreed-upon, focused, forward-looking, and action-oriented political outcome document. Small Island Developing States (SIDS) comprise 37 UN member nations, and Belize is among them.
