The Belize Port Authority hosted Ms. Kerrlene Wills, a representative from the United Nations Foundation. Ms. Wills had been collaborating with the Authority to unite Caribbean member states for the upcoming International Maritime Organization – IMO. During her visit, she met with key officials, including the Minister of Public Utilities, Energy, Logistics, and E-Governance, the Chairman, Ports Commissioner, and the Board of Directors. Providing insights into the upcoming IMO meetings in London, she worked closely with the Belize delegation to finalize details for the GHG negotiations, ISWG-16 and MEPC-81. Ms. Wills also conducted important port tours and meetings with maritime stakeholders to gain a comprehensive understanding of Belize’s shipping sector.
